FAQs

  • WARM Health Collective supports perinatal mood disorders, hormonal shifts, birth trauma, neurodivergence, and more. We provide affirming, compassionate care—with dedicated support for LGBTQAI+ individuals and families. If reproductive challenges feel overwhelming, our connected team delivers the steady support you deserve.

  • Start with a referral from your GP or specialist (eg. obstetrician/gynaecologist) — it’s key for Medicare rebates. GP referrals are typically valid for 12 months (or indefinitely if specified), while specialist referrals are valid for 3 months.

You can then send the referral through to referrals@warmhealthcollective.com.au.

Our clinical team reviews referrals weekly, and we aim to respond within two weeks. If we’re able to offer an appointment, we’ll contact you directly and guide you through the next steps.

You can find more detail about how referrals are reviewed and processed here. You are also welcome to enquire about the progress of your review by contacting us on 03 8658 0234 or sending a follow-up email.

  • Transparency builds trust — you’ll know your exact fee before confirming. Each clinician sets their own, varying by session type/length. You will be provided with a financial consent with all their fees.

Our psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and psychologists are all Medicare-registered, so eligible referrals will receive rebates.

As a general guide, out of pocket costs for an initial appointment with a psychiatrist ranges from approximately $540 to $740. For psychologists the out of pocket costs is approximately $140-$220.

Please note that we are a private billing clinic, and fees do apply. We do not bulk bill.

  • The Extended Medicare Safety Net is a scheme that can increase the amount Medicare reimburses you once your out-of-hospital medical costs reach yearly threshold.

It is a family safety net, so the threshold refers to all family members who are on the one medicare card. After reaching the threshold, Medicare pays back up to 80% of the total fee.

If you’ve paid for fertility support, or a private obstetrician this year, may already qualify.

You can read more about the medicare safety net on the services website - https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/medicare-safety-net

  • Initial assessments are a gentle, unrushed one-on-one space designed for you to share your story at your own pace. You’re always warmly welcome to bring a trusted support person if that feels comforting (and you’re okay sharing with them).

Your privacy and safety are paramount — we only share information with your full, informed consent, and nothing moves forward without it.

  • Currently, whilst our space is under construction, we will be welcoming you via telehealth.

Once we open our doors, we will continue to warmly offer telehealth to make care accessible. You'll receive a simple link via email or SMS, just click at your appointment time to enter our safe, private video space.

No link? No stress, our friendly clinic team is ready to help.

  • Pop on 5 minutes early to sort any tech hiccups — we've got you.
    Cozy consult tips:

    • Find a private, quiet corner with strong Wi-Fi

    • Device on a stable surface; headphones help with sound + privacy

    • Block the time out to try and ensure you are not interrupted – however, babies and pets are most welcome!

    • Keep tissues + water handy, just in case

  • Each clinician at WARM reviews referrals independently and makes their own decision about whether they have clinical capacity at the time of the referral. We provide supportive coordination but respect their clinical judgment. If a referral can’t be accepted, we’ll send a letter explaining this to your referring doctor — then it’s a gentle next step for you to connect with your doctor about other options.

  • Our clinic is at Level 5, 116 Rokeby St, Collingwood (T: 03 8658 0234).

Still under construction - all consults are via telehealth until further notice

    • Street parking on Rokeby, Gipps, Mater, or Oxford St (timed bays — use EasyPark app)

    • Coles Car Park (69 Little Oxford St): 1.5 hrs free with $15+ spend; casual rates ~$5/hr

    Public transport made simple:

  • Regretfully, no. At this stage, WARM Health Collective is only able to provide care to patients who reside in Victoria at the time of their appointments.

Ask anything, this is a safe space to begin.
