How Cindy Works
Cindy works with women during reproductive and life transitions, particularly when emotions feel complex, layered, or hard to put into words. She believes care works best in a calm, collaborative space where people feel safe to slow down, feel heard, and explore their experiences without pressure.
Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, Cindy considers how psychological, biological, relational, cultural, and attachment factors shape each woman’s experience. Appointments are unhurried and reflective, allowing space to notice patterns, understand contributing influences, and make sense of feelings that may feel confusing or overwhelming.
A central part of her approach is shared formulation — building understanding together so experiences feel validated rather than pathologised. This often includes exploring relational and attachment histories, as well as the impact of past trauma, to understand how these influences shape relationships, self-care, and emotional responses. Her aim is for women to leave feeling informed, supported, and clearer about their options, with care that is clinically sound and realistic for everyday life.
Areas of Focus
Cindy has worked in specialist clinics supporting women experiencing persistent pelvic pain, obstetric trauma, perinatal loss, and post-traumatic stress. Her approach is trauma-informed, prioritising emotional safety, trust, and collaboration.
She supports women navigating complex psychosocial stressors and long-standing emotional burdens — particularly when challenges have accumulated over time.
Cindy works with mood and anxiety difficulties, adjustment challenges, and the emotional impact of reproductive transitions, including conception, pregnancy, the postnatal period, and broader reproductive life stages.
She also has experience in neuromodulation treatments, including repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), particularly for individuals who have found standard treatments difficult to tolerate or insufficiently effective.
Professional Background

She has worked across public and private mental health services in perinatal and trauma-informed settings. Having lived and studied across several countries before moving to Australia for university, she has a strong appreciation for how culture, migration, and identity shape mental health experiences.
Cindy is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and practises primarily in English.
At the heart of her work is a commitment to walking alongside women during vulnerable and meaningful periods of life — offering care that is thoughtful, respectful, and grounded in understanding.
