How Christine works
Christina works with clients navigating life transitions including during the reproductive and early parenting years. She understands that inner experiences at these times can feel overwhelming, confusing and sometimes contradictory.
Christina values providing a non-judgmental, calm and collaborative space where clients feel understood and able to make sense of their experiences.
Her approach is relational, trauma-informed and grounded in curiosity, compassion, and clinical steadiness.
What she focuses on
Christina supports people experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties including anxiety, mood concerns, trauma, panic, grief and loss, intrusive thoughts, obsessional thinking and compulsive behaviours, perfectionism, challenges with emotion regulation, and relationship difficulties.
Christina has a particular interest in trauma and its ongoing impacts. She has worked over the course of her career with clients with co-occurring substance use and mental health challenges.
Christina works at a considered pace with a focus on helping clients to understand their experiences, develop emotion regulation, and move toward actions that align with their values.
Her therapeutic approach is primarily grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). Christina integrates attachment-based approaches and Circle of Security Parenting in her work.
Christina uses therapeutic frameworks flexibly, guided by a shared formulation developed with her clients that considers psychological, biological, social, relational, cultural and other factors.
Christina offers a neuroaffirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming space.
